The fourth post in my A to Zs of a Small Town SAHM is all about the man behind the blog. I get all the attention here but let’s face it, without my husband I would not be the woman I am today. That’s why today in the #atozchallenge I am writing all about my little one’s Daddy.

I can tell you right now that I was pretty sure of what I was looking for in a future husband. In fact, when I was younger me and a friend of mine wrote a list of all the qualities were must haves for our future men.

I really could not tell you what I wrote on that list but the actual point of it was to keep our feet on the ground when we would see a cute boy walk into the cafeteria.

But I did know, especially after a not so nice relationship, that I would rather be single than be with someone who didn’t truly love and respect me.

A few years later, enter man of my dreams.

People ask when we first knew when we were in love I think about one of the first times we hung out. I know that sounds so crazy but it was then I knew I would never meet someone so easy to be with and so compatible for me. We walked and talked for hours, and we had a lot in common.

I can tell you I had never met such a nice, truly kind hearted person in my entire life. Like I think I’m pretty nice but I definitely have my moments where I let a situation get the better of me. Not Brice.

When you think he is nice in person, he is 100% that nice behind closed doors too. And it has changed me for the better, too.

Now he is a Dad to our little guy and I can’t help but think how grateful I am that our son is going to have such a great role model growing up.

It truly makes you stop and think about how the choices we make can have such a long lasting impact. Because I married this nice man, we will (hopefully) raise this boy to be a nice man as well.

So, cheers to the man who has forever changed my life for the better. The man who spoils us to no end. The man who is my best buddy for life.
